The Friday night tradition returns The season opened with bright lights, big plays and plenty of Friday night energy Maricopa’s high school football teams experienced a rough start this season. All three teams lost their first game on Aug. 28. Maricopa High School opened at home against Mountain Pointe, falling 47-0 in a lopsided matchup. The Rams managed just 30 passing yards as the Pride’s defense powered its way to victory. Despite the result, opening night brought plenty of energy to the field and photographer Victor Moreno was there to capture it all.
