EDUCATION
PRIORITIES District budget: Tie every dollar to positive student outcomes and scrutinize proposed spending rather than simply approving a budget or filling line items. Superintendent collaboration: Work closely with the superintendent to understand the district’s needs while providing the support and accountability necessary to make informed decisions. District policy: Support policies that put students first while protecting teachers, district finances and sustainable growth planning.
whether that meant mentoring college students, organizing for local causes, being a city ambassador or simply showing up at board meetings. I decided to run because I kept seeing the same gap: public school not seen as the foundation for our children. As a parent navigating our schools myself, I know firsthand how much clearer communication, stronger literacy support and real accountability could change outcomes for our students. I bring a project manager’s discipline to this role the ability to set clear goals, track progress and bring people together around a plan. My military background taught me to lead with integrity and put the mission first; as a parent, that mission is our kids. If elected, I want Maricopa families to feel heard, our teachers to feel supported and every student to leave our schools ready for what’s next. That’s what “Smart Growth, Strong Schools” means to me.
PRIORITIES Civic education: Expand civic education so students are better prepared to participate in the American political system and make informed decisions if they choose to become civically active. Communication: Increase dialogue among students, parents, teachers and administrators and make it easier for students to advocate for themselves. Technology: Use technology as an aid to prepare students for changing industries without allowing it to replace proven learning methods, books, writing and civil discourse.
I began my educational career at Maricopa Elementary School and graduated from Maricopa High School in May of 2024. Therefore, I’ve seen the ins and outs of this district, the bureaucracy, the power dynamic between administrators, the good, the bad and everything in between. I’ve been down the path of wanting to enact change, and let me tell you, it is a deliberately lengthy path with various obstacles, but that hasn’t stopped me yet. I refuse to stand by and do nothing so long as our education system remains self-defeating. I see this role as the start of a lifetime of engaging in my responsibilities as an American citizen and my right to civically participate. I’m committed to ensuring that today’s students are well-equipped to become the future leaders of tomorrow’s America.
