to pick them up. We were freaking out trying to figure out what to do. Finally the last girl got there. She got injured before competition so she couldn’t perform, but she was still coming to support the team. By some magical stroke of luck she brought her shoes with her, just in case. We basically tackled her with thanks; it was practically a miracle, her shoes were the right size and everything. The reason we were able to compete that day and I’m still very grateful for that.

What’s next? After high school, my plan is to attend Northern Arizona University to pursue a degree in civil engineering. What is your ultimate career goal? The end goal that I have for my career would be to become a successful design engineer and help to develop blueprints and schematics for new products and infrastructure.

What is your favorite memory from high school? My favorite memory from highschool is from the first competition I went to with my cheer team. We had gone through a lot to finally get here and we were sitting in the front office at 5:30 in the morning waiting for everyone to get there. One of our girls had forgotten to bring her shoes and there was no way a parent could bring them or that we could drive her back home
