CASE SUPPLEMENT:

On 11/22/24 at about 2230 hours, I responded to the area of Dancer Ln and Dirk St to investigate a shooting. When I arrived, I learned a juvenile, y.o. was in police custody. I learned a juvenile male had been transported to the hospital with an apparent gunshot wound and potentially symptoms of a drug overdose. I observed a small pool of blood on the sidewalk, where the victim had been. There were Nicotine Vape device boxes on the street, nearby. The juvenile male had yet to be identified. I spoke with Officer Peterson to clarify why there was information about a drug overdose. Officer Peterson informed me, when patrol arrived, they were unable to locate a gun shot wound and observed the victim foaming at the mouth. The foam was interpreted as symptoms associated with drug overdoses, based on prior drug overdose cases. Patrol officers also noticed vape cartridge boxes within the vicinity of the victim, which they believed were related to drug use.

present. I tasked Officer Fox with contacting

mother.

The only photo of the victim was still images from body camera footage. I had Officer Wiemiller stop recording her body camera so I could identify the victim from her video. In the video, a Hispanic male was being treated by responding police officers. His face was visible, but I was unable to determine who he was. Officer Hawkins recovered security footage of a vehicle leaving the crime scene. In the video, the driveway of a residence, on Guilder Ave, was depicted. In line with the drive way, but out of visible frame, was Dancer Ln. A small section of Guilder Ave was visible. The footage begins with silence, then what sounded like a car door shutting, then the sounds of male's arguing, then a loud and distinct gun shot. After the gun shot someone yells out something like "oh fuck". After the yell, there was a loud crashing sound. A vehicle was then visible turning from Dancer Ln to Guilder Ave. The vehicle appeared to be a light colored sedan, but the footage was black and white, so exact color was undetermined. The vehicle had a loud exhaust. The vehicle proceeded out of the frame as it travelled on Guilder Ave. A nearby resident approached the scene and I was tasked with contacting them. The resident was Aurora She said she recognized as a friend of her son, Aurora said she heard someone was transported to the hospital, but she could not get ahold of Aurora informed me she last saw at their house at about 1830 and he was with his friend, I asked Aurora if she was able to provide a photo of Aurora provided a photo of which depicted his face and hand tattoo. looked like the male from Officer Wiemiller' s video, but I was not completely certain. I told Aurora I would let her know. Detective Clement later provided photos of the victim, when she arrived to the hospital. The photos depicted the victim and his hand tattoos. The victim was identified as
