- a circular apparent entry wound to the rear left shoulder/arm - a square-shaped contusion to the left forehead area - dark red linear bruising or possible road rash to the left temple area - slight circular-pattern bruising to the sternum from life-saving efforts during transport was relocated to Treatment Room #10 due to an incoming trauma patient. At approximately 0115 hours, Maricopa County Medicolegal Death Investigator Janet Hernandez #113 arrived to take possession of body. Hernandez provided the seal number (#0036996), case number (2024-12123) and advised autopsy was scheduled for 11-24-2024 at 0800 hours at the Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office with Dr. Stano. At approximately 0055 hours, On 11-23-24 responded to the Maricopa Police Department with his mother to voluntarily provide information on the investigation. Detective Mccullar met with who advised of being with the night of the shooting. identified presence at the residence with two males whom said he did not know. said he witnessed the incident and took off running with the two other males and eventually getting a ride from a stranger at Quik Trip. mentioned believing the vehicle involved was a white Cadillac. (DOB: I conducted multiple searches of the local FLOCK LPR (license plate reading) cameras. The searches revealed a silver 2008 Cadillac STS bearing Arizona license plate B1A89W, entering the Maricopa Meadows neighborhood where the shooting occurred by way of West Honeycutt Avenue at approximately 1922 hours. The vehicle was also captured on a different FLOCK LPR camera leaving the Maricopa Meadows neighborhood by way of West Bowlin Road at 1943 hours. An Arizona Motor Vehicle Division search revealed the vehicle was registered to Sergio Michael Munoz (DOB: of West Palmen Drive in Maricopa. Officer Mccullar and I responded to Munoz's residence during which Munoz confirmed his presence during the shooting and using the pseudonym "Chronic". Munoz acknowledged dealing/selling vape devices, which he referred to as "geek bars", through his Instagram page " On the date of the incident, Munoz said he was in communication with a male who utilized the Instagram username to whom he (Munoz) previously sold vape devices. Munoz advised of arrangements made with to purchase approximately $470.00 worth of vape products. Munoz said provided an address on West Dirk Street for the meeting and produced a message exchange between him ( Munoz) and regarding the plan to meet on North Dancer Lane. At approximately 1925 hours, Munoz sent an Instagram direct message to stating "here". Munoz confirmed his friend Carlos, later identified as Robert "Carlos" Vasquez (DOB: was with him (Munoz) at the time and seated in the front passenger seat. Upon arriving at North Dancer Lane and West Dirk Street, Munoz said approximately three to four males approached his vehicle, two entering the back seat and one standing just outside the driver door. According to Munoz, a male he later identified as entered the rear right passenger seat directly behind Vasquez, while another unknown male entered the rear left passenger seat directly behind Munoz. The third male remained outside the vehicle whom Munoz advised was Munoz recalled the male's faces were visible and not covered or obstructed. Munoz said the males began yelling at him (Munoz) and Vasquez to "give me your shit". While yelling, Munoz said he was repeatedly beaten on the sides and back of his head by both and who were both in possession of a gun. Munoz said he yelled for them to stop and subsequently heard a click. Munoz said he figured the sound was associated to the guns being airsoft or pellet guns, as he did not believe the guns to be real. Munoz said after the audible click, all three males immediately exited his vehicle and he drove away. Munoz mentioned a black backpack containing his supply of vape products was stolen from his vehicle by the males as they exited. Munoz advised of learning of death the following morning (11-23-2024).
