Supplemental Report:
On 11/22/2024 I responded to the area of W Dirk Street in reference to a reported shooting. Upon arrival Officer Peterson was on scene giving CPR to a male subject laying on the ground. The male subject was unresponsive and I was unable to feel a pulse in his neck or wrist. I did not see any blood consistent with someone being shot and I observed vomit coming from the male's mouth which made it appear as an apparent overdose. I assisted with conducting CPR on the male subject as Officer Peterson gave the male a dose of NARCAN. The male was unresponsive the NARCAN and CPR was continued. Maricopa Fire Department arrived on scene and began giving medical care to the subject. Maricopa Fire Department cut the male's shirt off and turned him over and blood began to pool from his backside, possible behind his shoulder. Maricopa Fire Department advised it did appear the male had a gunshot would. The male was placed in an ambulance and was transported from the scene to I began looking on the ground of the scene looking for weapons or any shell casings. I did not locate weapons or shell casings but did locate multiple unopened nicotine cartridges for Vape machines. I began canvassing Guilder and Dirk street and looking for houses which had cameras on them. I located several houses with cameras and then began going door to door knocking on each house on Dirk Street with Officer Hawkins.
I spoke with a residents at
and
W Dirk Street who stated
they did not hear or see anything. I spoke with a resident at W Dirk Street who stated she was outside and heard what sounded like 2 gunshots. She then stated she heard a loud car drive off from the neighborhood. She did not have any description of vehicle or suspects. The other houses I knocked on did not have an answer. The people I spoke with either did not have functioning cameras or did not have video footage of the incident or vehicles involved in the incident. It was reported one of the suspects may have fled from the scene and tossed a hoodie or a backpack. I deployed K9 Karma to conduct an article search of the area. I began walking east from intersection of Dirk St and Dancer St. I walked north on Madison then west on Tulip. I then walked north on Dancer and the east on Amsterdam and and finished the article search at Amsterdam and Madison. No alerts indicated and no items were located.
This concludes my involvement in this incident.
