MEMORIAL DAY 2024 VA National Cemetery of Arizona and Honoring America’s Veterans hosted a Memorial Day commemoration ceremony at the National Memorial Cemetary of Arizona in North Phoenix on May 27. Approximately 1,000 volunteers planted — and removed — 95,000 flags. More than 78,000 veterans and spouses are interred at the site on Cave Creek Road, which was dedicated in 1978.
