13 Ono Hawaiian BBQ Ono Hawaiian BBQ is preparing to open its first restaurant in Pinal County. The Diamond Bar, Calif.-based chain plans to occupy a 4,300-square-foot suite in the Sonoran Creek Marketplace. The site was previously approved for a Filiberto’s Mexican Food restaurant, but it was never built. Ono’s proposal shows a new dedicated drive-thru lane wrapping the building, which also houses Jimmy John’s, Crumbl and MOD Pizza. Ono specializes in Hawaiian-style comfort food including grilled chicken, Spam musubi, noodles and seafood plates. 16 Take 5 Express Oil Change Florida-based Atwell Group proposes building an express oil change in the rapidly developing South Bridge commercial area. The ½-acre parcel is included in what Scottsdale developer De Rito Partners called the “7 Eleven Improvement Project,” tying the oil-change station to a broader commercial plan that includes a 7-Eleven convenience store with gas pumps and a Super Star Car Wash, both proposed earlier for the same corner. According to Atwell’s submission, the New Orleans-based Take 5 facility would feature a 1,345-square-foot building with two service bays. Like the brand’s other locations, it would allow drivers to remain in their vehicles during service.

We wanted to serve a local community. We started in Casa Grande, but we wanted to be here. It was always something we wanted to do.”
