In July 2019, MUSD expanded Preschool opportunities at Santa Rosa Elementary School. Each classroom is led by a certified teacher who specializes in Early Childhood learning. Pima Butte Elementary school was recently awarded the A+ School of Excellence distinction by Arizona Educational Foundation. A+ Schools engage in a rigorous application and evaluation process with the Arizona Educational Foundation and are evaluated on student focus and support, active teaching and learning, climate, parent involvement, community building, and leadership. Earning the highly prestigious A+ designation spotlights the positive successes happening in Pima Butte every day. Pima Butte also maintained its “A” rating from the Arizona Department of Education, one of the highest honors in the state.
