Leading Edge Academy would like to recognize Lindsey Hammer. Ms. Hammer has been with Leading Edge since 2018. She possesses a remarkable blend of musical talent, pedagogical skill, and passion for teaching that makes her an invaluable asset to our school. She currently teaches fourth and fifth grade music class as well as fourth through eighth grade band. Within her music class, her parodies to classic songs make music something every student looks forward to. Ms. Hammer starts introductory band students with learning the fundamentals of playing an instrument and progresses students to a cohesive ensemble. Ms. Hammer's lessons are not only informative but also engaging, fostering a love for music that extends beyond the classroom. The band performs throughout the school year on and off campus providing an enjoyable experience for all. Whether working with elementary students or middle school students, Ms. Hammer demonstrates patience, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to helping each student reach their full potential. Her dedication to enriching the school community through music while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment is invaluable.
