Graduates, You did it! As you embark on the next adventure in your life, remember you got this! As Dr. Seuss once said, “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go”.
Ms. Brittany Austin ESS teacher
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. –Eleanor Roosevelt
Ms. Maria Delgado Math teacher
You did it! Congratulations, seniors, on this monumental achievement! As you reach the end of your academic journey, cherish all the memories you’ve made, the friendships you’ve forged, and the wisdom you’ve gained. You could’ve not made it this far without your hard work and perseverance, equipping you with the resilience to walk whatever path you choose. You did it, and you can do it again.
Mrs. Shalini Sharma Science teacher
Congratulations to the graduating class of 2024! You have done it, and your hard work has paid off today! Your dedication and perseverance have made us all feel so proud of you. However, remember that this is just the beginning, and you still have a long way to go. Keep pushing forward and striving for success. “Live the Life of Your Dreams. When you start living the life of your dreams, there will always be obstacles, doubters, mistakes, and setbacks along the way. But with hard work, perseverance, and self-belief, there is no limit to what you can achieve.” –Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart
Mrs. Lisha Vila Social Studies teacher
Congratulations Seniors on your monumental accomplishment! I wish you all the best on your adult life journey. Life has a funny way of not always going as you would hope sometimes. In those circumstances just remember that you are unique and have a purpose in this world. Work hard, have courage and keep striving for your dreams! “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” –Winston Churchill

G ood afternoon families, friends, guests, and fellow graduates. My name is Jeremy Fried and I am honored to be standing in front of you today. I’m gonna be honest, I didn’t even want to give this speech at first, let alone walk at my own graduation. I was ready to leave high school in my rearview mirror and never look back. It took a lot of convincing for me to be up here. Especially from my mom, I’m sorry for being so stubborn I love you and I’m up here now. Anyway, I came to realize that in life it’s easy to run from our past or stress about our future. It’s easy to dwell on what we could have done differently or what we need to do next but worrying does not take away tomorrows troubles or yesterdays regrets. It only takes away today’s peace. So I want all of you to take your stress and worries and let them go for at least today. Today we celebrate how far we’ve come and all that we’ve accomplished. Now some of us may already have our future journeys mapped out. Some of us may have ideas of what lies ahead and there may even be a few of us who haven’t quite thought about what’s next. The truth is, no one’s life is going to be the same. We’re all gonna do things at a different pace and in different ways. There’s no right or wrong way to do things, there’s only your way. Although we’re all so different we do at least have one thing in common. We persevered and we’re all here, together, at the finish line, to celebrate and commemorate the end of one chapter and the start of a new one. Today is the day to be proud of everything you’ve accomplished as tomorrow you step into the future. Just remember that you made it this far and you can certainly make it through to your next big accomplishment. You succeeded so be proud of that and be confident in knowing that you can achieve anything you put your mind to. The Lord tells us in Jeremiah 29:11 that He knows the plans that He has for us. He has plans for our well-being, not a disaster. His plans for us are to give us a future and hope. I want to wish all of you the best of luck. May God bless each and every one of you in the days ahead. Congratulations my fellow 2024 graduates. We made it!!!

that an elite class. I would like to also shout out my sophomore lunch table, Jaysha, Gabby, also Eric even though you used to bring strangers around, love you guys. And I would also like to thank Rebecca for making office hours fun. However, I look forward to hearing about the class of 2024’s success in life no matter where you end up. Saying goodbye to senior year is like closing a chapter of your life that’s been filled with so many memories, lessons, and growth. It’s a bittersweet moment, filled with excitement for the future but also hints of nostalgia for the moments that have passed. As you reflect on the past year, remember all the challenges you’ve overcome, the

H ello friends and family, as your class of 2024 Salutatorian. Before I begin I would like to give a quick shoutout to my family and friends that have helped me succeed all throughout my thirteen years. But I teachers and administrators, and finally class of 2024. It is an honor to be here today
YOU ARE THE STARS OF TOMORROW!
do want to give a solo shout-out to my father for pushing me with hard work and dedication and installing that into me to become a better student. At the beginning of my senior year, I found out I was in the running for this title and I worked hard for it, sacrificed, and even stressed about this. But I eventually got it. So class of 2024 if you can look to your left then to your right we are no longer high school students, we are graduates. These past four years have been nothing but emotional, stressful, eventful, exciting, and even an impactful roller coaster. Although we started high school in the middle of a pandemic we made the best of it and now we are graduating in person. Even if you had negative effects due to this pandemic, glad we are here today and cherishing the ones we lost along the way. Just knowing they are here in spirit matters. If we can take it back to first grade when teachers would ask us what we wanted to be when we grew up. Some of us had common careers such as doctors, lawyers, police officers, firefighters, etc. I remember saying I wanted to be a doctor well growing up and becoming an adult. I realize that’s a lot of more school. I’m just kidding in case someone is a doctor in this room. But I finally settled on earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Entrepreneurship at Arizona State University. I would like to thank my fellow classmates at Maricopa High School and Maricopa Virtual for the past four amazing years. I would also like to thank my bus friends for making that experience fun. And thank you to my sophomore chemistry class for always putting a smile on my face. Especially Kevin, Kallai, and Mariah, we gave Mrs. Flores a run for her money but we can also say we made
friendships you’ve created, and the experiences that have shaped you into the person you are today. Take this time to celebrate your achievements, both big and small, and to thank those who have supported you along the way. Whether it’s your teachers, friends, or family, they’ve all played a role in your journey, and their guidance and encouragement have been invaluable. As you prepare to embark on the next chapter of your life, remember to cherish the memories you’ve made and carry the lessons you’ve learned with you. Senior year may be coming to an end, but the adventures that lie ahead are just beginning. So, here’s to closing one chapter and opening another, filled with endless possibilities and new opportunities. Cheers to the end of senior year and the start of an exciting new journey So Goodbye to the familiar faces that have become like family, to teachers who’ve inspired and challenged me, and to mentors who’ve guided me with wisdom and care. As you embark on new adventures, carry with you the lessons learned and the bonds formed, for they will shape the path ahead. Lastly, I would like to end this chapter of our lives with a verse from Miley Cyrus that sums today up. “ I can almost see it, That dream I’m dreaming, but There’s a voice inside my head saying “You’ll never reach it” Every step I’m taking, Every move I make feels, Lost with no direction, My faith is shaking, But I, I gotta keep trying, Gotta keep my head held high, There’s always gonna be another mountain, I’m always gonna wanna make it move, Always gonna be an uphill battle, Sometimes I’m gonna have to lose, Ain’t about how fast I get there, Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side” Thank you.
As you embark on your next journey, remember that the world is full of endless possibilities. Continue to chase your dreams, embrace innovation, and never stop learning.
