PARTING SHOT
THE SNOWBIRD THAT NEVER FLEW HOME Photographed by Alan Wilson, this C-119 served with the Royal Canadian Air Force as "RCAF 22130." It starred in the 2004 movie Flight of the Phoenix , a remake of the classic 1965 movie of the same name. This was the aircraft used in the flying scenes. After the filming in Africa, it returned to the U.S. and is now part of the Laurisden Air Museum in Buckeye, where it is maintained in airworthy and well polished condition.
